What Match Breakdown isLink to this section

Match Breakdown lets you study one match in detail. You pick a match, choose how you want to slice it, and read the result as a chart. Reach for it when you want to understand one match, rather than a trend across many.

Sample data — the Match Breakdown page, including the synced match footage and shot stream.

Pick a matchLink to this section

Use the match picker to choose one. It splits into two tabs — Your matches and Pro matches — so you can break down your own finished matches or take a look at a pro match.

If you don't have any matches yet, we show you a pro match so you can see how the page works. You can also open Match Breakdown straight from a finished match, and we'll pick that match for you.

Choose how to slice itLink to this section

Two menus shape your chart:

  • Dimension — the way you slice the match, like shot type, shot family, or court area.
  • Metric — what you count, like a percent or a total.

You can also switch the chart style between bar, donut, scatter, and stacked bar. The styles you can use depend on the choices you've made.

See the score over timeLink to this section

The Point Progression chart shows both players' scores rally by rally, and you can hover over it to read the score at any point. It's a quick way to see how each game swung and where the big runs happened.

Read the Match ReportLink to this section

The Match Report is GGAB's read of the match: a headline, then the findings that went well or cost you, each measured against your usual and shown with the rallies worth rewatching.

For your own matches, it lives in the match recap: press Recap at the top of the page. See How to read your match recap.

We save it per match, so reopening it won't cost you extra tokens. Regenerate writes a fresh one if the match has changed since.

Watch the videoLink to this section

When you pick one of your own matches, a video player appears and the shot list follows along as it plays. The list narrows to the rally the video is in and lights up each shot as it happens, with your shots and your opponent's clearly marked. The bar under the video lets you jump to any shot. Pro matches don't include video.

Filter by labelsLink to this section

If you've tagged rallies with labels, like break point or deuce, you can filter the breakdown down to just those moments.

Something looks off? Request a retrackLink to this section

If GGAB tracked a match for you and something in it looks wrong, like a missing rally, shots tagged as the wrong type, or the wrong player on a shot, you can ask us to fix it. It's free, once per match.

  1. Open the match in Match Breakdown (or in the app, open the match from Insights).
  2. Under the match, press Request a retrack.
  3. Say what looks wrong: which rallies or shots, and what you expected. The more specific you are, the faster we can fix it.
  4. Press Send request.

Nothing changes while we look. Your match stays in your insights, and we review the footage against the tracking and correct what was wrong. You get a notification when it's done, and your stats update straight away. If we decide nothing needs changing, the notification says why, and you can ask again.

Retracks are for matches GGAB tracked. A match you tracked yourself can be edited directly in the tracker.

This page answers

  • How do I see a breakdown of one match?
  • How do I request a retrack?
  • How do I filter matches by label?
