Automatic Tracking and Tokens

Learn how automatic tracking estimates cost, places token holds, and handles queue status.

What automatic tracking does

Automatic tracking sends your prepared Match Tracker project into the GGAB tracking workflow. The project is reviewed and converted into structured rally, shot, and outcome data.

You should use automatic tracking after:

  • The video has finished processing.
  • Match type is set correctly.
  • Players and handedness are complete.
  • Player snapshots are saved.
  • Any desired match segments are saved.

Token estimates

The app estimates cost before you confirm submission. The estimate uses your saved match segments when they exist. If no segments are saved, it uses the full processed video duration.

The current baseline is approximately 20,000 tokens per hour of submitted footage. The exact estimate may depend on the active pricing configuration.

Token holds

When you submit a match, GGAB places a hold for the estimated token amount. This prevents the same balance from being spent twice while the job is in progress.

Paid tokens do not expire. Monthly free tokens may reset based on your account configuration.

If you do not have enough tokens

The confirmation panel shows your balance and the estimated cost. If your balance is too low, the app shows how many tokens you are short and links to the token shop.

Queue status

After confirmation, your project may show one of these states:

  • Pending: waiting in the queue.
  • In progress: tracking work has started.
  • Final review: tracked data is being checked.
  • Error: changes are needed before the project can continue.

If the project is still pending, cancellation may be available. Once work has started, cancellation is unavailable.

Estimate problems

If the app cannot estimate cost, check that the video is fully processed and that the project has valid segments or a known video duration.

For videos with warmup, breaks, or unused footage, save match segments before estimating so the estimate reflects the footage you actually want tracked.
