Video Analysis
Use uploaded videos and tracked timestamps to review match footage in context.
Overview
Video Analysis is for reviewing footage alongside the structured data created in Match Tracker. Instead of searching through an entire video manually, use tracked rallies and timestamps to jump back to important moments.
When to use it
Use Video Analysis when you want to:
- Rewatch a specific rally.
- Study an error or winner in context.
- Compare similar moments across matches.
- Review movement, shot choice, or decision-making with a coach.
Relationship to Match Tracker
Match Tracker creates the structured rally and shot data. Video Analysis helps you revisit the footage that data points to.
For the cleanest workflow:
- Create or open a Match Tracker project.
- Submit it for automatic tracking or review it manually.
- Finalize the project after review.
- Use the tracked timestamps to revisit key moments.
Reviewing footage
When tracked timestamps are available, open the relevant rally or shot and use the video player to inspect the moment. Keep notes focused on what you would change in training or competition.
Examples:
- "Late to rear forehand after flat lift."
- "Won point after holding net shot longer."
- "Lost attack after clearing from neutral position."
Troubleshooting playback
If video playback does not load, check that the video finished processing and that you are signed into the same account that owns the project.
If a timestamp jumps to the wrong moment, return to the tracker project and review the rally start or end time.
