This Privacy Policy explains how Get Good at Badminton ("GGAB", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our application.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly, as well as data generated through your use of the platform.
- Account information (such as your email and login details)
- Match data, rally tracking, and shot tracking inputs
- Video annotations and session-related data
- Usage data, including features used and interaction patterns
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain the core functionality of the platform
- Generate analytics and insights based on your data
- Improve features, performance, and user experience
- Develop future tools, including AI-powered insights
- Communicate updates, support responses, and product changes
3. Data Ownership
You retain ownership of the data you input into the platform, including match data, tracking data, and annotations. We do not sell your personal data.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process and analyze your data solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and supporting the platform.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the following third-party service providers, strictly as needed to operate the platform:
- Cloud infrastructure — database and authentication
- Stripe — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email
- Anthropic — AI-powered features
- Google Analytics — usage analytics
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the platform is used. Google Analytics collects usage data including page views, features accessed, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from your IP address. This data is associated with a pseudonymous identifier and is not linked to your account.
We also use server-side event tracking via the GA4 Measurement Protocol to record subscription and payment events (such as when a subscription is started, changed, cancelled, or when a payment succeeds or fails). These events use your Stripe customer ID as an anonymous identifier.
You can opt out of Google Analytics data collection using Google's opt-out tools.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's standard retention settings, which default to 26 months.
8. International Use
By using the platform, you acknowledge that your data may be processed in countries where our infrastructure or service providers operate.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data
- Withdraw consent for analytics tracking at any time using Google's opt-out tools
Canadian users: You have rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), including the right to access your personal information and to challenge its accuracy.
EU/EEA users: You have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to data portability, the right to erasure, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
