Analysis and the Coach Assistant

Study one athlete's matches and trends, compare athletes side by side, and ask the coach assistant questions or have it assign work.

Match breakdown is one match for one athlete, shot by shot. Trends follows one athlete's numbers across their match history. Both are the same views your athlete sees in their own app, pointed at them from your side. Read Match Breakdown and Trends Over Time for how to use them.

Pick the athlete with the chips at the top. Your choice carries across when you switch between the two pages, and it lives in the page address, so you can bookmark an athlete's trends. Only athletes who have accepted your invite appear.

The analysis sits in a dark review panel inside the lighter workspace. That's deliberate: it is the athlete's own view, shown exactly as they see it.

One difference: you can't play the athlete's match video from here. Seeing someone's analysis and watching their footage are separate permissions, and only the first comes with being linked. Matches you uploaded yourself are still in your own video library.

Compare athletesLink to this section

Compare athletes puts 2 to 6 athletes side by side on up to 8 metrics, from their finished matches. Pick the athletes, pick the metrics, and press Run comparison.

The metrics cover results (rally win rate, rallies won and lost), rally shape (average length and duration), errors (unforced and forced, as counts and rates, plus serve errors and errors on the final shot), winners, and volume (tracked matches, shot attempts).

  • The best value in each row is in bold.
  • Hover a number to see how many matches are behind it. Two athletes with very different match counts aren't a fair fight, so check before you read much into a gap.
  • A dash means there isn't enough data for that athlete yet.

Once a comparison has run, name it and press Save as default view. It opens that way next time, and your saved views sit above the pickers for one-click recall.

The question box at the top of Athletes reads across your whole roster. The one on an athlete's page is about that athlete. On an athlete's page it also suggests a few things to ask or do, such as "What should they work on this week?" or "Track a new match".

Across all athletesLink to this section

Ask things like "who is slipping on training this month?" or "put everyone side by side on unforced errors". It can compare every active athlete on match numbers and training completion, and it can build a named athlete a dated training plan.

It won't open one athlete's matches, rallies or training from here. Press + to focus on one athlete first. Changing focus starts a new chat.

Focused on one athleteLink to this section

Here the answers use that athlete's matches and training. You can:

  • Ask how they're doing: how the last match went, what changed this month, where points are going.
  • Assign training by describing it. Sessions land in their calendar as set by you. For three or more sessions it shows you the list and waits for a yes.
  • Queue a match for tracking. It gathers the video, date, format and names, then hands you to the one step that needs your eyes: drawing the player boxes.

What it won't doLink to this section

  • It never shows an athlete's own AI chats. Those stay private.
  • It can't read wearable or daily log data unless the athlete has turned sharing on for you. If you ask, it tells you plainly that it isn't shared.
  • With fewer than three tracked matches it calls the answer an early read, and it never ranks an athlete who has no matches.
